The A.C.D. (Anti-Chaos Directorate) is the organization the player works for in ANANTA. It is Nova City's special enforcement unit responsible for investigating and combating Chaos-related Supernatural Anomalies. The player character, the Captain, leads its task force.
The Story Setup
When the Captain arrives in Nova City, the A.C.D. task force has been disbanded. The main story involves rebuilding it from scratch, starting with Taffy as the first recruit and gradually adding more characters through story progression and exploration.
ACTF (Anti-Chaos Task Force)
The ACTF is the task force's field unit. It handles rapid-response operations against Chaos threats. The Yeet Squad, led by Taffy, is a sub-unit within the ACTF. The team operates with minimal bureaucracy. This puts emphasis on personality-driven dynamics over formal rank structures.
Connected Organizations
NCCA Nova City Crime Agency, the police force. Richie works for them.
Cat Express underground faction. Taffy has a dual affiliation.
Shorewater Industries Mechanika's workplace.
D.P.A. mentioned in materials but not yet detailed.

Rebuilding Arc
When the Captain arrives in Nova City, the task force has been disbanded. The opening hours of the story are framed as a recruitment arc. The first confirmed recruit is Taffy, with additional members joining through story missions, exploration, and bonding events. The roster grows on a clear narrative spine rather than as ad-hoc unlocks.
Operational Posture
Minimal bureaucracy, personality-driven dynamics over formal rank
Crosses jurisdictional lines when investigating Chaos (works with N.C.C.A. but is not under it)
Each agent's day-to-day life feeds into A.C.D. operations through the Identity System
Player Position
The Captain leads the task force. Dialogue choices during recruitment scenes and bonding events route through the Captain's perspective. Team management is light in current materials, there is no confirmed loadout or rota mechanic, but the team composition the player builds drives which combat verbs and traversal tools they can swap into.
