Chaos Liquid is an ability system in ANANTA where characters channel controlled Chaos energy for combat. It looks like a dark symbiote substance flowing across the character's body, with tendrils and projections used as weapons.
How it Looks
The visual design draws symbiotes (think Venom), Hong Kong action cinema, and the manga Chainsaw Man. Organic matter flows across the character's body during activation, with dramatic energy projections during attacks. Controlled Chaos Liquid has distinct visual effects from wild Chaos manifestations.
Combat use
The Captain uses Chaos Liquid to grapple toward targets, slam groups of enemies, and empower melee attacks. It also doubles as a traversal tool for swinging and propelling between buildings.
What We Don't Know Yet
Whether all Espers use Chaos Liquid or just the Captainhow it is activated in gameplay (a meter, a cooldown, a resource), and the full range of Chaos Liquid moves have not been detailed.

Relationship to Chaos
Chaos Liquid is described in current materials as a controlled, weaponised expression of Chaos. Wild manifestations create destruction and Supernatural Anomalies, while Chaos Liquid is the version a trained Esper can shape. The contrast between wild and controlled Chaos is one of the visual themes of the TGS 2025 demo.
