The Vespa is an enemy in Alabaster Dawn. It is a large wasp-like Nuemera found across Koro Valley, both before and after the Nest is weaved.

Vespas are flying enemies, but they typically stay close to the ground and can still be hit by melee attacks. They alternate between two attacks:
Air shot: the main attack. The Vespa flies up and shoots a small projectile downward at Juno.
Dive: the rarer attack. The Vespa dashes at Juno, damaging her on contact. The dive has an obvious tell and can be parried for break damage.
Vespas break more easily under Pierce damage, although every damage type hurts them equally. When broken, they fall to the ground. Falling into water hurts them further, but a falling Vespa can also get stuck on high ledges out of easy reach. They take increased damage for a short time before reviving and resuming flight.
Reflecting a projectile from a Custo Turri into a Vespa breaks it instantly, which is one of the fastest ways to clear a mixed pack.
Lead with Bogha Solas Pierce shots. The Pierce break shortcut tightens the fight to a single combo plus a break punish.
If a Custo Turri is in the same arena, save its projectile for a Vespa instead of trying to parry into the Custo Turri itself. The instant-break is worth the setup.
Avoid finishing a Vespa over water unless you can reach the body. The drop heals the player for nothing if the loot is unreachable.
