Its 120 Defence is a flat mitigation value, and at 1,100 Health it is a sturdier target than the small day-spawn beach crabs. Both of its attacks are Slash melee swings dealing 190 with no armor penetration, so a single piece of body Armor already blunts each hit.2727Stagger Defence of 3 is low, which means heavy weapons interrupt its swings reliably. That is not the case in the current build. Crab Shell only drops from the smaller orange beach crabs that appear during the day, and time spent farming thorn fiddlers for the shell produces no progress on the Trophy Crab recipe. The confusion is common because the thorn fiddler is a larger, more imposing target than the beach crabs, but its drop table reads Crab Meat plus Undead Essence plus a Pearl chance, never Crab Shell.4141If the goal of a beach loop is the Trophy Crab, target the small orange day-spawn crabs on the shoreline instead.
