The Stairs (Sticks) is a flight of woven stick stairs set at a 45 degree angle, used to connect two floor levels in a base. It is the Sticks tier staircase, the cheapest way to add a second storey early in Windrose.

Plant Fiber is foraged from bushes and grass on the starting islands, so a flight of Sticks stairs costs almost nothing to throw up while you block out vertical access to an upper floor.

Tips

• Place stairs against a wall edge so the top step lines up flush with the upper floor, avoiding an awkward gap or a jump.

• Stick stairs are fine for a starter shelter, but because they share the 750 health of the Sticks tier they are an easy target in a raid; upgrade interior access to a tougher material once the base matters.

• Use a spiral staircase instead when floor space is tight, since a straight 45 degree flight needs a long run to climb one level.
