Rested is a stamina-regen buff earned by resting at a Bonfire at a base with sufficient Comfort. It is the most reliable pre-fight buff the player can carry into any encounter, because the duration scales up with the base's Comfort Level rather than being a fixed short timer.
Stand inside the glowing radius of a Bonfire at the base for a few seconds. The buff applies while standing in the aura and persists after leaving.
The buff's duration scales with Comfort Level. Decorating the base with seating, tables, beds, torches, candles, and dishes increases Comfort, which in turn extends Rested duration.

The scaling is +1 minute per Comfort Level. A minimal base with only a bonfire grants 7 minutes; a fully decorated base approaches the 30-minute cap.
Rested drastically increases the speed at which the stamina bar regenerates. The exact regen multiplier is not published in community data, but the practical effect is large: attacks and dodges that would normally chain with pauses become near-continuous under the Rested buff.
Being aboard the player's ship grants Rested at the Comfort level of the highest-Comfort Bonfire in the world. Sailing between fights does not drop the buff; the ship inherits it from the home base. This means a fully-decorated home base grants the effective maximum Rested duration to the player anywhere they can reach by sea.
Comfort is built from furniture sub-categories. One item from each category counts once:
Seating (stool, chair)
Tables
Beds
Lighting (torches, candles)
Dishes (displayed food items)
In addition, mounted animal-head trophies each add +1 Comfort per trophy, stacking up to +12 if the full set is collected from the Buccaneers trophy roster.
A Coastal Jungle base that hits Comfort 10 earns Rested duration of roughly 16 minutes, which is long enough to carry through almost any Coastal Jungle encounter without needing to re-apply. Upgrading Comfort is one of the highest-leverage early base-building decisions, because it affects every subsequent fight rather than a single encounter.
