11Overview33Reliable Blunderbuss is a Rare / Epic blunderbuss-class ranged weapon in Windrose. A practical blunderbuss for firing in cramped crew quarters. Its only purpose is to throw a hail of shot in the enemy's general direction.55Blunderbusses are two-handed close-range scatter firearms that scale with Agility. They fire a dense cone of shot and are the shotgun-equivalent of the firearm family. During Boarding actions, a knockdown at the edge of a ship deck can fling the struck enemy off the side of the vessel and into the water. A pirate who goes overboard is removed from the fight entirely, which counts just the same as a kill for the purpose of clearing the deck.6363Positioning the knockdown shot. The knockdown comes from the raw impact of the close-range volley rather than a specific pellet landing, so the aim rule is the standard blunderbuss center-mass aim rather than a headshot. Close in on the target until the pellet spread is tight enough to hit in one cone, then fire directly into the chest.
