The corrupted trees are visually distinct from the swamp's normal vegetation: pale bark, twisted trunks, and sickly growth patterns. They cluster in specific swamp zones, so marking one productive stand on the map usually pays off across multiple runs.3232Because the Cursed Swamps is a late-game biome crowded with hostile creatures, come prepared for a fight. The infected trees cannot be felled by early tools: you need an Iron Axe (or the Swamp Axe) to damage them at all, so bring the upgraded axe before making the trip.
