Rested raises stamina regeneration to about 2.5 times its normal rate, and each extra comfort level adds roughly one minute to how long the buff lasts, so spreading points across many subcategories is more valuable than stacking duplicates of one item. Most indoor furniture needs Shelter status, meaning walls and a roof around the bonfire, before its bonus applies; mixing in several different subcategories is the fastest way to climb comfort levels.
