Common Sails is a baseline sails design in Windrose, applied at a player-built Wharf to set a ship's canvas to plain off-white linen with visible patches. It is the default sails design that ships fly when no other Style Book has been read.

In-Game Description

Even with all the patches, they still catch the wind just fine.

How to Apply

Sail to a Wharf, dock the ship, and open Manage Ship -> Customization -> Sails. Common Sails appears in the option list by default for every character; no Style Book is required.

Performance

Common Sails has no mechanical effect on speed, manoeuvrability, or sail health. The cosmetic is purely visual.
