Overview

Brethren of the Coast (Quest) is a faction quest in Windrose.

Edward Teach nearly destroyed the Brethren of the Coast during his assault on Tortuga. Their forces are scattered, and Stede Bonnet's ships, another of Blackbeard's lieutenants, are hunting down the survivors.

Stages

The numbered flow below mirrors the objective list in the quest log. Each entry shows the in-game objective title, the journal description the player sees when the stage becomes active, and any stage-bound Required Items or Rewards.

Stage 1: Find the survivors

After the pirate attack, the Brethren of the Coast lost many ships and men. Benjamin Hornigold asked me to track down his friends. In return, he promised information about the governor's artifact.

Stage 2: Tell Captain Hornigold of his friends' demise

The ships lie aground, their masts shattered, their decks drenched in blood. Pirates and drowned left no survivors. Captain Hornigold is in for some bad news.

Stage 3: Destroy two pirate patrols

I have to set sail and sink pirate ships that patrol the area.

Stage 4: Return to Captain Hornigold

I managed to deal with the patrols. It's time to inform Captain Hornigold.

Stage 5: Gather the resources to repair the Ranger and deliver them to Captain Hornigold.

To fight back against Blackbeard, Brethren need to restore their ships. This will require 50 planks, 50 timber, and 50 foothills iron ingots. Once the resources are gathered, deliver them to Captain Hornigold.

Stage 6: Return to Captain Hornigold.

The resources have been delivered to the Brethren. It's time to find out whether Captain Hornigold has managed to repair his ship.

Stage 7: Defeat Stede Bonnet's fleet

The Ranger has been launched, and the Brethren of the Coast are ready to move against Stede Bonnet, one of Blackbeard's lieutenants, who has kept the archipelago under siege. It's time to begin the counterattack.

Stage 8: Return to Captain Hornigold

Stede Bonnet's fleet has finally been dealt with. I need to return to Benjamin Hornigold, he promised to tell me everything he knows about the artifact in return for my help.
