The Beam (Log) is a horizontal log beam used to span the gap between two pillars and carry the floors or roof placed above it. It is the Log tier version of the horizontal beam, a step up in durability from the woven Sticks beams, and it slots into the same building grid in Windrose.

Learning Plans: Woven Pillars and Beams unlocks this beam alongside the rest of the early pillar and beam set, so a single plan covers the vertical and horizontal supports you need for a first multi-level base.
Beams rest on pillars, so the natural partner is the Pillar (Log) of the same tier. The lighter horizontal option is the Beam (Sticks), and matching log-tier walls include the Wall (Log). Every support piece is catalogued under Pillars and Beams.

Run beams between pillars before placing a second floor; the beam is what the upper floor pieces snap onto.
At 1,500 health the Log beam doubles the durability of the Beam (Sticks), so swap up to it once you have a steady wood supply.
Beams can be picked back up before they decay, refunding the Plant Fiber, which makes them safe to use while you experiment with a layout.
Beam (Log) is part of the crafting progression chain rather than a standalone collectible. Use the recipe, station, and ingredient rows to trace what unlocks it, what it consumes, and which linked upgrades or materials should be prepared before crafting it.
