Tamed creatures in Wild Wild Eden can be ridden across land and through the sky, and they fight alongside the player. Store screenshots of a pre-release build show the player mounted on at least six different creatures, three of them named.

Overview

The English press release describes what tamed creatures can do: "Once tamed, they can carry you across vast landscapes, soar through the skies, fight alongside you in battle, and become cherished members of your settlement." The Steam store's exploration blurb talks about bonding with companions to conquer the land, sea and sky. Creatures first have to be tamed; see Taming.

A boss fight screenshot also shows the player's party riding a spiked orange beast, a flying red bird and a furry beast.

While mounted, the HUD shows these prompts:

A mount panel shows the creature's name and its current and maximum health. The numbers in the screenshots come from a development build. See Controls and Interface for the full key legend.

Saddles

Hands-on reports from the gamescom 2026 demo say a creature needs a dedicated saddle before it can be ridden. One store screenshot shows a saddled mount.

Which Creatures Can Be Ridden

As of October 2026, the developers have not published a list of rideable creatures. One gamescom 2026 hands-on report, written after using developer tools to mount many creatures, said nearly all of them could be ridden except slime types and some bosses. That has not been officially confirmed.

Mounted Abilities

Reports from the 2026 demos describe each species having its own abilities while ridden, such as fast movement over the ground or flight. Official materials have not listed these abilities as of October 2026. See Combat for fighting while mounted.
