While the Divers are the operatives who plunge into The Abyss, The Merchant is the figure who stays behind to run the business, bankroll those expeditions, and turn what comes back into profit. This is the management side of the game, and it is one of its core pillars alongside the action of the dungeon dives.

55 As The Merchant, the player supports the Divers and grows the business by trading recovered Artifacts and Relics. The Divers handle the danger inside the dungeon; The Merchant handles everything that surrounds it. That includes processing the goods they recover, putting earnings back into the shop, and steering the overall operation.
