Cielo is a brand-new fighter introduced in Virtua Fighter Crossroads and the character chosen to be the new face of the series. He is presented as an American underground fighter who has come to Vilasapara for reasons that are kept deliberately vague in early materials, and he is trying to make a name for himself in the city's fighting circuit.

Cielo's path is one of the four told in the Story Mode. Early footage shows him moving through Vilasapara among family and friends while a criminal underworld, described in the reveal as a Chinese mafia, takes an interest in him and pursues him for an as-yet-unexplained reason.

His story also brings him into contact with returning characters. In one sequence he turns up at a restaurant run by Pai Chan, a longtime series veteran who is shown working there as a chef. Beyond these confirmed beats, Cielo's full backstory, fighting background, and the specifics of his moveset have not been revealed.
