The Haven is the base between expeditions in Vaultbreakers. Players build and upgrade it, prepare for missions, and refine gear there. Permanent Haven boons contribute to a build alongside equipment and perks. An upgradable Haven is included in the Demo.
Social hubs
The October 8, 2026 update adds Haven hubs with up to ten players together. Players can send friend and party invites to others in their hub. The ten-player hub limit differs from the mission party limit: expeditions support solo play or a group of up to three.

Function | Behavior |
|---|---|
Friend and party invitations | Can be sent to other players in the Haven. |
Blocking | Prevents the blocked player from sending friend or party invites. |
Mission party privacy | A party can become private when beginning a mission before the group fills. |
Party and friend functions
The October update revises Social View and adds a Player Widget for social functions wherever other players appear in interface lists. Party leaders can kick members. A button lets party members join their leader's Haven when they are in separate instances, and Steam friend invitations and platform friend integration are improved.
Building history
The July 3, 2025 test let players rebuild the Haven from the ground up, with buildings adding visual changes and gameplay mechanics. The December 4, 2025 test added the Command Table, an overview of buildings and their status that provides access to unlocked upgrade tiers. The February 11, 2026 test removed forced choices on upgrade paths.

October building interfaces
The October update adds progression through NPCs and Haven buildings, including new building buffs and upgrades. A Large Map is added to the Haven. The Command Table replaces Artifacts on the top bar, and its interface makes it easier to see when enough upgrade materials are available.
