The October 2026 Alpha Test is the announced PvPvE test for Vaultbreakers. It is scheduled to begin on October 15 at 10:00 CEST and end on October 21 at 23:59 CEST. This page describes announced test content ahead of that schedule.
Progress and heroes
Demo progress is planned to carry into the Alpha Test. The three heroes excluded from the demo, Sparkwing, Lumiri, and Thora, are announced for the upcoming test alongside the demo heroes Nymera and Bjornir.

Carryover to full release
Carryover from the demo to this test differs from full-release carryover. Ordinary demo progress does not survive into the full game; Legacy Points carry over after launch and unlock rewards.
World events and artifacts
The joint October update includes updated Drill events and a new Rocket event. Its Alpha section adds artifact mechanics involving corruption, holy orbs, wards, and environmental interactions. Vault encounters are rebalanced toward a more consistent completion time for appropriately geared players, and Balloon Teleporters gain map icons.
Known Alpha issue
Necronus can trigger a monologue after death in this test.
