Equipment and Crafting

Added equipment terminology, crafting materials, and recipe interface changes
Equipment, perks, and permanent Haven boons shape a Vaultbreakers build. The October 8, 2026 update calls randomly rolled equipment Fateweaver Gear and adds an Epic tier of crafting material.
The updated crafting interface includes recipe sorting and filtering. Locked building-upgrade recipes can be viewed before they are unlocked. The Haven is where players upgrade their base and refine gear between expeditions.
Fireball Wand was renamed Firebolt Wand in the October update.
The October update reworks crafting recipes, repair costs, and salvage outputs throughout progression. It updates world-drop recipes, Fateweaver Gear, and Journey loot tables. Basic building materials drop less often from world pickups and enemies, Rift Residue has a reduced drop rate, and Drills give fewer, more focused rewards.
Ability Items such as weapons, accessories, and trinkets gain base stats. Stat budgets for Fixed, Named, and Ability Items are revised, alongside shop stock, buy and sell values, and crafting-material availability across Journeys. Consuming a key for certain chests or gates now requires confirmation.
Recipes show material costs more clearly, and salvageable-item tooltips better show the resulting materials. The update adds salvaging functions through NPCs and containers and improves handling of repairable, unrepairable, and unbreakable items.
The February 11, 2026 test allowed some recipes to be learned by reading recipe books in the inventory. In the July 22 technical test, Gear Score began at zero, the old Profession system was removed, and unwanted equipment could be salvaged into useful materials.
Later Journeys gain quest rewards, Named Items, crafting materials, keys, and recipes. Recipe unlocks and crafting requirements are adjusted to materials available at that progression stage. Named and Fixed Item distribution from bosses and quests is revised.
