Rong Shan is one of the confirmed fighters in The Hidden Ones. He is one of two announced fighters trained directly under the same master, and the developer introduced him through its own per-fighter gameplay guide series published ahead of the first pre-alpha test.

Overview

The developer describes Rong Shan as one of the direct disciples of Zhang Zhiwei. His personality is given as hearty and upright, and his guide singles out punches that are extremely forceful and fierce, which reads as a straightforward heavy-striker introduction rather than a technique-driven one.

The Shared Lineage

Zhang Zhiwei is named in the developer's guides as the 65th generation Celestial Master, and Zhang Lingyu is introduced as that master's youngest disciple. Rong Shan and Zhang Lingyu are therefore the two announced fighters from the same teaching line, though they are billed very differently: one on raw striking power, the other on a named thunder technique.

Combat Style

No supernatural power has been attached to Rong Shan. His introduction is built entirely on the force of his strikes, which places him among the fighters whose kit is presented as physical first. That offense still runs through the shared Combat System, where a basic attack against a guarding opponent breaks the block and grapples them.

The developer notes that character and skill names shown in these guides are subject to the official in-game versions, so wording may change before launch. No numeric stats, frame data, or full movelists have been published for any fighter.

His signature abilities, his campaign role, and whether he is part of the launch lineup have not been announced.
