Pre-Order Editions
March 29, 2026 at 05:20 AM
Updated edition details with confirmed contents from March 2026 reveal; added closed beta access info and Owlcat website exclusivity note
The Expanse: Osiris Reborn is available for pre-order in four editions. Each tier adds additional content on top of the base game, with the two highest tiers also including beta access. The game is priced at $49.99 for the Standard edition, which is notably below the current $69.99 standard for major AAA releases. The higher-tier editions (Miller's Pack and Collector's) are exclusive to the Owlcat Games website and are not available through Steam, Epic, or console storefronts.
Edition | Price | Contents |
|---|---|---|
Standard Pack | $49.99 | Base game, Early Adopter Item, Exclusive Founder's Discord Role |
Deluxe Pack | $59.99 | All Standard contents + Name in Credits + Miller's OPA Heavy Armor + UN Spec Ops Assault Rifle |
Miller's Pack | $79.99 | All Deluxe contents + Digital Artbook + Digital Soundtrack + Hall of Fame + Miller's Revolver + Miller's Casual Outfit + Exclusive Closed Beta Access |
Collector's Edition | $289.00 | All Miller's Pack contents + Physical box, printed artbook, ship figurine, medallion, 3 patches, 9 stickers |
The Standard edition includes the full base game for PC (Steam, Epic Games Store, GOG), PlayStation 5, or Xbox Series X|S. Every Standard pre-order comes with an Early Adopter Item (a cosmetic item for the player character, specific details not yet disclosed) and a Discord Role on the official Owlcat community server. This is the entry point for players who want the complete singleplayer experience without extras.
The $49.99 price point is a deliberate choice. Most major releases from large studios in 2025 and 2026 carry a $69.99 base price, with deluxe and ultimate editions pushing well above $100. Owlcat priced the Standard edition below the industry standard following the same strategy they used for Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader.
The Deluxe edition adds several in-game items and recognition bonuses on top of the Standard edition. The two headline items are Miller's OPA Heavy Armor, a cosmetic armor set inspired by Detective Joe Miller's connection to the OPA and the gritty Belt aesthetic, and the Spec Ops Assault Rifle, a weapon skin for one of the game's assault rifle models. Players also receive their name in the game's credits and a Discord Role.
The Miller references throughout the pre-order tiers are a nod to Detective Joe Miller, one of the central characters in The Expanse series, known for his distinctive hat, world-weary attitude, and deep ties to both Ceres Station and the protomolecule storyline. The cosmetic items let players outfit their character with gear inspired by Miller's appearance and affiliations.
The Miller's Pack includes everything in the Deluxe edition plus additional Miller-themed items: Miller's Revolver (a weapon skin modeled after the detective's sidearm) and Miller's Casual Outfit (a cosmetic outfit reflecting his off-duty look). The pack also includes a Digital Artbook with concept art, character designs, and environment studies from the development process, and a Digital OST featuring the game's original score composed by Pawel Perepelica. A Hall of Fame listing and Beta Access round out the tier.
Beta access is a significant inclusion for dedicated fans who want to play the game before its official release date. The scope and timing of the beta have not been fully detailed, but pre-order messaging confirms that both the Miller's Pack and Collector's Edition grant access. The digital soundtrack is composed by Perepelica, who also scored Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous and Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader. The main theme was publicly revealed on November 7, 2025.
The Collector's Edition is the premium tier. It includes everything in the Miller's Pack plus a set of physical collectibles: a Collector's Box with premium packaging, a Printed Artbook (physical version of the digital artbook), a Spaceship Figurine (a detailed model of the Gemini), a Medallion, 3 Patches, and a 9-Piece Sticker Set. Beta access is included.
This edition is aimed at collectors and fans of The Expanse who want physical memorabilia alongside the digital experience. Collector's Editions are typically produced in limited quantities, and past Owlcat releases (particularly Rogue Trader) saw their Collector's Editions sell out. The higher-tier editions are exclusive to the Owlcat website, meaning they cannot be purchased through Steam, Epic Games Store, GOG, or console storefronts.

All four editions are available for PC (via Steam, Epic Games Store, and GOG), PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. The game is a current-generation console exclusive with no PS4 or Xbox One versions planned. On PC, the system requirements have not been finalized, but the use of Unreal Engine 5 with Nanite and Lumen suggests that a modern GPU will be recommended for optimal performance.
The closed beta begins on April 22, 2026. Only the Miller's Pack ($79.99) and Collector's Edition ($289.00) include beta access, both of which are exclusive to the Owlcat Games website. The beta features a self-contained mission set on Pinkwater Station. Players who want early access should note that these editions cannot be purchased through Steam, Epic, GOG, or console stores.
