11Magicite are items that attach to weapons and modify how they behave in combat. Each piece is tied to a specific weapon type and provides a distinct effect: faster charging, additional projectiles, expanded radius, and more. A small equip-cost limit constrains how many pieces can be active at once, and higher-rarity magicite is both more powerful and cheaper to slot, creating a strong incentive to seek out rare pieces.223344Rarity and Equip Cost5566Magicite comes in multiple rarity tiers. A higher-rarity piece of the same type produces a stronger version of its effect. Crucially, rarer magicite also costs less to equip despite being more powerful. The total equip cost across all slotted pieces cannot exceed the current cost limit, which can be raised by spending tul (the game's currency). This system rewards seeking out rare magicite rather than simply stacking as many pieces as possible.7788Acquiring Magicite991010There are two main ways to obtain magicite.11111212The first is collecting fragments during exploration and forming them at shops. Bringing fragments to a shop costs tul and produces a finished magicite piece in a chosen weapon category. The specific piece and its rarity are partially random, but the odds of rarer results improve the more magicite is formed over the course of a playthrough. Players select the weapon type they want the result for; the shop does not produce pieces for a random type.13131414The second source is treasure chests found in dungeons and puzzle shrines, which may contain finished magicite pieces directly.15151616Named Magicite Pieces17171818Several specific magicite pieces have been confirmed. The table below lists them with their weapons and effects.19192020Magicite NameWeaponEffectAttack Up Sword MagiciteSwordIncreases sword attack power. Available as a preorder bonus.Lightning MalletHammerAdds electrical bolts to the Hammer's special attack. Rarer versions produce wider strike patterns.Ripe Bomb MagiciteBombsIncreases explosive damage while extending the delay before detonation.Extra Throw MagiciteBoomerangAdds a second boomerang to Elliot's throw. Normally one boomerang is thrown; this produces two simultaneously.2121Effect Categories22222323Beyond the named pieces, magicite effects cover these general categories.24242525Charge speed: reduces how long the button must be held to trigger a charged specialAttack speed: increases the rate of basic attacksAttack radius: expands the area of effect of strikes or thrown weaponsDamage: increases overall weapon damage outputAttack range: extends the reach of melee or thrown weaponsExtra projectiles: adds additional hits or thrown copies to an attack26262727Forming Magicite at the Shop28282929New magicite is formed at the Magicite Shop, run by a Magicite Merchant found in towns across the four ages (the first is Mew Mew in the Kingdom of Huther, which opens up after the first dungeon). Forming a random piece costs 5 magicite fragments, while forming a piece for a chosen weapon type costs 10 fragments. Elliot gets one fragment back for every copy of a piece he already owns, which softens the cost when farming for a specific magicite. Fragments come from defeating enemies, opening chests, and disassembling unwanted magicite.30303131Each form also grants Form Rank experience. A higher Form Rank improves the odds of producing rarer, stronger magicite, and reaching Form Rank 5 unlocks the ability to form pieces for a specific weapon type instead of a random one.32323333Form Rank and Odds34343535Form Rank rises from 1 to 10 as magicite is formed. The table below shows the chance of each rarity at every rank. Raising the rank all the way from 1 to 10 costs roughly 7,750 fragments in total, so high ranks are a long-term goal.36363737Form Rank1-Star2-Star3-Star4-Star5-Star190%9.8%0.16%0.03%0.01%270%29.6%0.32%0.06%0.02%345%50%4.88%0.09%0.03%420%70%9.84%0.12%0.04%50%68%30%1.95%0.05%60%40%55%4.94%0.06%70%0%89%10%1%80%0%75%20%5%90%0%50%40%10%100%0%0%60%40%3838The Magicite Box39394040The Magicite Box sets how much magicite Elliot can equip, measured against each piece's equip cost. Equip budgets are kept separately for each weapon, so a loadout built for the Sword does not eat into what is available for the Boomerang, and every weapon can be tuned on its own without the costs overlapping. Capacity starts at 15 and can be raised with tul at the Magicite Shop up to a maximum of 60, with the full upgrade path costing 42,500 tul.41414242Tul CostNew Capacity(starting)1550020800251,400302,300353,500405,000457,000509,5005512,500604343The Magicite Menu44444545Magicite is managed from its own entry in the main menu, which the team moved to its own layer after the demo so it takes fewer steps to reach. The menu opens on one weapon's box at a time and names it in the header, so the Spear's box reads as Spear Magicite. A row of weapon icons across the top shows all seven boxes in a fixed order, and the shoulder buttons step between them.46464747Directly beneath the weapon row sits the cost readout for the open box, written as the amount currently spent against that box's capacity. Because the boxes are separate, this figure only ever reflects the weapon on screen. A sort control next to it cycles the ordering of the list, with an ordering by what has been acquired among the available options.48484949Each row in the list carries a tick box showing whether the piece is slotted, the piece's star rating, its equip cost, and its name. Selecting a row prints its full effect text in a panel at the bottom of the screen, worded for the exact rarity of the piece in hand rather than the generic effect. Pieces that cost more than the budget still free in the open box are greyed out and their cost is printed in red, which makes an over-committed loadout obvious without any arithmetic.50505151Two shortcuts sit along the bottom edge. One clears the open box in a single press, and the other is the Leave it to Faie option that fills the box automatically for players who would rather not tune it by hand.52525353Disassembling Magicite54545555Unwanted magicite can be disassembled at the Magicite Shop to recover some fragments. The refund is smaller than the cost to form the piece, so disassembly is a way to clear space and recycle duplicates rather than a primary source of fragments. The best early place to farm fragments is Whiterea, where most enemies are large and close-range, making it easy to keep a high drop bonus.56565757Synergy with Faie's Magic58585959Magicite and Faie's fairy magic can combine for amplified results. The Extra Throw Magicite on the Boomerang raises the throw from one to two boomerangs. When Faie's Copy ability is also active, duplicating Elliot's actions, the result is four simultaneous boomerangs per throw, a substantial increase in coverage.60606161Post-Demo Updates62626363The Debut Demo, released for Nintendo Switch 2 in 2025, drew a large volume of survey responses, and the team published the magicite changes it made in reply before the full game shipped. Equip costs were split into weapon-specific boxes so builds no longer compete for one shared budget. For players who would rather not micromanage a loadout, a "Leave it to Faie" option equips magicite automatically. Duplicate magicite can be dismantled automatically instead of one piece at a time, the list of acquired stones gained sorting options, and the magicite entry in the menu was moved to its own layer so it takes fewer steps to reach.64646565For more on how magicite fits into combat, see Combat System.
