The Phoenix Ostrich is the Super Rare variant of the Ostrich species in Starsand Island, classified under ID Ostrich99. Its tail feathers are described as "magnificent as those of a phoenix, symbolizing rebirth and auspiciousness." Like all Ostrich variants, the Phoenix Ostrich is rideable and serves as the fastest mount. It is unobtainable from shops and must be bred at the Selective Breeding House.
The Phoenix Ostrich features a striking, fiery color palette that sets it apart from the muted tones of the Common, Snow, and Golden variants. Its tail feathers fan out with a vivid plumage reminiscent of a phoenix in full display. When ridden as a mount, the distinctive feathers trail behind the player, making this one of the most visually impressive mounts in the game.

Ostriches unlock at the Expert Rancher tier. Purchase the Common Ostrich from Pastelle at Green Pasture Ranch for 2,750 Coins. To breed toward the Phoenix Ostrich:
Place one male and one female adult Ostrich in the Selective Breeding House. Ensure at least one empty slot exists for the offspring.
Each breeding cycle has a random chance of producing a Rare variant (Snow or Golden Ostrich). Continue breeding to accumulate Rare offspring.
The Phoenix Ostrich has the lowest breeding probability among all Ostrich variants. Community reports suggest it may take many dozens of breeding attempts.
Both parents must be fed and in good condition. Only one breeding event occurs per day.
All Ostrich variants are rideable once they reach adulthood. Ostriches are among the fastest single-rider mounts in the game, dashing across terrain at high speed. The Phoenix Ostrich functions identically to other Ostrich variants as a mount; the difference is purely cosmetic. To ride, interact with the adult Ostrich and select the Ride option.

Run multiple Ostrich Barns with separate breeding pairs to increase your daily chances.
Look for offspring with the Twins DNA trait to occasionally get two babies per breeding cycle.
