Moonlit Forest Walkthrough

The Moonlit Forest is hidden behind a portal near your home. It is accessed through the Damaged Door at the back of your property. You need to talk to Zephyria at the Exploration Club first. He starts you on the Exploration profession and gives you ammo. See the Slingshot guide for crafting details.
Aim your Slingshot at the yellow spots between the cracks in the door. They look like copper ore but they are weak points. There are two. Shoot both, and the door breaks open.
Step through the archway, and you will find Copper Ore rocks and Midnight Herbs in a small cavern. The portal to the Moonlit Forest is at the back.
The forest is divided into several areas, each with its own camp. When you fix a camp, you unlock its portal for fast travel.
From the first tent in Evernight Forest, head north toward the giant purple mushrooms, then west. You will find your first Gravemite crystal -- it looks like Fluorite but has an orange, smoky aura. It contains a Ghost you need to escort to the Gate of Life.
Fix the bridge, continue forward, and you reach the Gate of Life tent. Fixing this camp costs 5x Fluorite.
Be careful with the clock. If you are still in the forest at 2 AM, you pass out. Rest at the tents when it is getting late.

Evernight Forest: CelebMoth, Common Ore Chunk, Copper, Fiber, Fluorite, Green Firefly, Midnight Herbs, Mirthshroom, Moondew Shroom, Moonflower, Pasture Grass, Pasture Grass Seeds, Quartz, Stone, Tin, Twilight Succulent.
Gate of Life: Moondew Shroom, Moonflower, Red Firefly, Tin.
Each set of three ghosts unlocks a gate and rewards you with a chest. You find ghosts by breaking Gravemite crystals (Fluorite-looking rocks with an orange smoky aura) and escorting the released ghost to the correct destination.
Three Gravemite crystals scattered in the areas between the first camp and the Gate of Life. Finding all three and leading the ghosts back unlocks the gate and rewards a chest.
Three more Gravemite crystals in the areas around the Crystalith Hideout. Same process: find, free, escort. Unlocks the hideout gate and rewards a chest.
Three Gravemite crystals in the Mural Valley area. Completing this set unlocks the valley gate and rewards a chest.
