Overview

Meow Alum is an adoptable Siamese Cat in Starsand Island. This elegant feline roams the Starsand Town plaza, often spotted near the Aureleaf restaurant. Unlike Nana, who can be bought from a shop, Meow Alum must be tamed through daily feeding and affection building. Meow Alum's diet is fish-focused, requiring players to have at least basic fishing skills before attempting adoption.

Location

Meow Alum can be found in the Starsand Town plaza area, typically near the Aureleaf Kitchen restaurant. The plaza is centrally located within town, making Meow Alum one of the easier pets to find. If Meow Alum is not immediately visible, open your map (press M), select the Residents tab, and scroll to the bottom of the list where pets are displayed.

How to Adopt

Adopting Meow Alum follows the standard pet taming process:

• Step 1: Locate Meow Alum near the Starsand Town plaza or Aureleaf Kitchen. Approach slowly.

• Step 2: Interact with Meow Alum and offer its favorite food. Feeding Yellowtail Damselfish or Royal Twig Catfish grants 15 affection points per interaction. Liked foods like Basic Carnivore Pet Food or other fish grant 10 points. Neutral foods grant 5 points.

• Step 3: Visit Meow Alum daily and feed until affection reaches Level 3. The Adopt option then becomes available.

• Step 4: Select Adopt. You must have a Pet House on your property to complete the adoption.

Obtaining Favorite Foods

Meow Alum's favorite foods are fish species that require at least the Apprentice Angler fishing tier to catch reliably:

• Yellowtail Damselfish: A common coastal fish. Check fishing spots near the beach and shoreline.

• Royal Twig Catfish: Found in freshwater areas like rivers and ponds. Look for fishing spots near Cloudrest Lake and inland waterways.

Stock up on several fish before starting your taming visits. You can only feed a pet once per day, so each fish counts. Having a surplus prevents wasted trips.

Tips

• Meow Alum is one of the most accessible wild pets because of its central location in Starsand Town. You pass through the plaza regularly, making daily feeding visits convenient.

• If you have not yet reached Apprentice Angler, use Basic Carnivore Pet Food as a substitute. It gives 10 affection points instead of 15, requiring a few extra days of taming.

• Pets do not produce items or resources. They serve as companions that follow you around your property and can be dressed in outfits.

• Visit Meow Alum during the day. Pets have fixed spawn areas but may wander within them.
