Iron Sheet

Initial version (2026-04-25). Created dedicated page for Iron Sheet covering production at Cutter II and major mid-game uses.
Iron Sheet is one of the most heavily used processed materials in Starsand Island. It is produced at the Cutter II by rolling Iron Ingots into sheets, and it appears in the recipes for the Worktable II upgrade, multiple tools, the bus stop network, and several bag expansions. Players pushing through the mid-game burn through Iron Sheet faster than almost any other crafted material.
Iron Sheet bottlenecks several Junior-tier and Intermediate-tier upgrades simultaneously. Mining Iron Ore aggressively in Dreamfall Garden and beyond, then funneling it through Furnace II and Cutter II in parallel, is the standard mid-game grind.

Cutter II is unlocked at Junior Crafter and uses Hardwood Plank, Copper Ingot, and Radiant Core in its construction. It runs passively, so you can queue several batches and return after other tasks.
Worktable II upgrade. The Junior Crafter upgrade uses Iron Sheet as a major ingredient. Worktable II unlocks Mid-tier blueprints across all professions.
Impact Hammer. The Junior pickaxe upgrade requires Iron Sheet alongside Bronze and Hardwood components.
Impact Axe. The Junior axe upgrade also uses Iron Sheet.
Bus stop construction. Each of the 10 bus stops in the Bus Stop Reconstruction questline uses Iron Sheet alongside Glass Pane and Stone Brick.
Bag expansion. Multiple bag expansion tiers consume Iron Sheet as a key material.
Solid-State Battery. The Senior-tier power component requires 1 Iron Sheet as part of its recipe.
Dozens of mid-game recipes. Numerous machines, tool upgrades, and station builds list Iron Sheet in their requirements.
Run Furnace II and Cutter II in parallel. Both stations are passive. Two of each let you smelt and roll while doing other work.
Iron Ore is the second-most-mined material in the mid-game. Only Stone is gathered more frequently. Plan deep forest trips around Iron, not around rare ores.
Bag expansion appetite is huge. If you want every bag tier, allocate 30 to 40 Iron Sheet just for that progression. Combined with bus stops, the total Iron Sheet demand can exceed 100 pieces.
Don't sell Iron Ore raw. Iron Ingot and Iron Sheet sell prices are higher than raw ore, and you almost always need them later. Process first, decide later.
