Overview

The Golden Ostrich is a rare ostrich variant in Starsand Island with brilliant golden feathers that exude artistic charm. Like all ostriches, it is rideable and can dash across the land at high speed, making it both a collectible and a practical mount. The Golden Ostrich is obtained through breeding two common ostriches.

Appearance

The Golden Ostrich's plumage shimmers with rich golden hues, standing in sharp contrast to the brown and gray feathers of the common ostrich. The golden color extends across the body and wing feathers, giving it an opulent, almost regal appearance. Its long neck and legs maintain the standard ostrich proportions, but the color makes it unmistakable in a flock.

How to Obtain

Place two adult common Ostriches (one male, one female) in an Ostrich Pen with an open slot. Overnight breeding can produce a Golden Ostrich or a Snow Ostrich as rare outcomes. Use the Selective Breeding House to target specific pairs.

Riding

The Golden Ostrich is one of the faster land mounts. Once fully grown, equip a Friendship Collar (available at the Senior Rancher rank) to ride it. Ostriches support single-rider mode only, unlike horses which allow duo riding. The ostrich's speed makes it excellent for crossing the island quickly.

Tips

• Ostriches are among the most expensive livestock to purchase (2,750 coins from Pastelle).

• All ostrich variants share the same riding speed. The Golden Ostrich is a cosmetic upgrade.

• Ostriches take about 7 days to mature, same as horses and alpacas.
