11Overview2233The Evernight Forest is the first zone players enter when stepping through the portal into the Moonlit Forest dungeon. It is dominated by giant purple mushrooms and glowing bioluminescent flora, creating a dark, otherworldly atmosphere that stands in stark contrast to the cheerful overworld of Starsand Island. The Moonlit Forest is the only hostile PvE zone in the entire game, and the Evernight Forest is the introductory area where players learn the combat and puzzle mechanics that recur throughout the dungeon.4455The zone connects directly to the Gate of Life, a sub-area with a sealed Astral Gate that requires freeing three Gravestars from Gravecrystals. Together, the Evernight Forest and Gate of Life form the entry section of the Moonlit Forest before players progress to Dreamfall Garden.6677How to Enter88991010Entering the Evernight Forest requires starting the Explorer profession questline. The steps are:111112+Speak to Zephyria at the Explorer Club (located on a hill above Green Pasture Ranch, northeast of Flower Corridor).Receive a Slingshot blueprint and starter ammo from Zephyria.Craft the Slingshot at your Worktable using 2 Softwood and 2 Fiber.Go to the back of your house where a massive Damaged Door is covered in glowing yellow weak spots.Shoot each yellow weak spot with the Slingshot to destroy the rocks blocking the door.Walk through the small cavern behind the destroyed door and enter the portal at the back.121313-1414The portal teleports you directly to the Evernight Forest camp. Stone Ammo for the Slingshot is crafted from 5 Stone, which yields 2 pellets. The recipe is purchased at the Explorer Club's cash register.15151616Campsites17171818The Evernight Forest and Gate of Life contain two campsites. Each campsite has a tent (sleep to restore HP), campfire (cooking), and sometimes a Workbench.19192020CampLocationActivation CostEvernight Forest CampImmediately upon arriving via the portalFree (entry point)Gate of Life CampNorth of the Evernight Forest, past the repaired bridge5 Fluorite (repair Damaged Moonweaver)2121Damaged Moonweavers appear as dim, lifeless structures covered in twisting vines. After repair with Fluorite, they become operational fast-travel hubs that let you teleport between any other repaired camp or back home. There are 10 campsites total in the Moonlit Forest, each requiring 5 Fluorite to activate.22222323Enemies24242525Runebird26262727The Runebird is the first real combat encounter in the Moonlit Forest. It is a large bird-like creature with a bright yellow stomach that is its weak point. A sealed Astral Gate blocks the path deeper into the Moonlit Forest. The stone door has empty star sigils around a ring, and each sigil requires a freed Gravestar to fill it. Players must find and free 3 Gravestars from Gravecrystals scattered around the area.58585959Gravecrystal Locations60606161#LocationNotes1By the broken bridge northeast of the Evernight Forest campMust repair the bridge with 15 Stone so the freed Gravestar can cross2In the Gate of Life camp area, just up from the tent toward the locked doorMost accessible of the three3On small cliffs directly south of the Gate of Life camp, in the southern cornerGuarded by the Runebird; requires defeating it first6262Mine each Gravecrystal with your Pickaxe to free the Gravestar inside. Freed Gravestars automatically float toward the Astral Gate. Once all 3 fill the star sigils, the gate opens and a reward chest spawns in front of it. This mechanic repeats in later zones of the Moonlit Forest with different arrangements.63636464Treasure Chests65656666The Evernight Forest and Gate of Life area contain approximately 6 treasure chests:67676868ChestLocation1Across from the first tent near the forest entrance2To the left of the portal entrance3Behind the large purple mushroom4Left of the large purple mushroom5Right side of the waterfall, next to the repaired bridge6Left side of the waterfall, next to the repaired bridge6969Hidden Secrets707071+Walking behind the waterfall near the bubble path reveals a Treasure Map. Follow the arrow on the map to dig up coins at the marked location. An elevator is hidden behind the same waterfall. Interacting with the elevator pillar takes you to a higher ledge where a locked chest contains the Left Ruin Key (needed later for the Bronze Gate in Azure Bay).717272-7373Progression to Dreamfall Garden74747575After the Astral Gate opens, the path forward includes:767677+Cross a bubble platforming section (floating bubbles over a river canyon serve as stepping stones).Break through a crumbling stone door by shooting its weak spots with the Slingshot.Defeat a Luminfrog on the other side.Arrive at the Dreamfall Garden camp.777878-7979Completing the Gate of Life tasks (freeing all 3 Gravestars) earns you the Intermediate Explorer rank when reported to Zephyria.80808181Explorer Profession Connection82828383RankTask in This ZoneApprentice ExplorerDefeat the Runebird; collect Runebird Fragment; return to ZephyriaIntermediate ExplorerFree all 3 Gravestars to open the Astral Gate; report to ZephyriaApprentice Trial (Bulletin Board)"Shiny Paint" quest: defeat a Luminfrog near Dreamfall Garden; collect Sparkling Pigment8484Tips858586-86+Activate the Evernight Forest camp immediately upon arrival. If you die, you respawn here rather than on the overworld.Mine every Fluorite deposit you see. You need 5 per campsite and there are 10 camps in the entire Moonlit Forest (50 Fluorite total).Bring extra Stone for ammo crafting. The Slingshot is your only weapon at this stage.Repair the bridge with 15 Stone before mining the first Gravecrystal, or the freed Gravestar cannot cross to the Astral Gate. The Runebird hits hard for early-game players. Keep moving in circles and only fire between its attack animations.Check behind waterfalls. The Left Ruin Key hidden behind the elevator waterfall is easy to miss and is needed much later in the dungeon.Copper, Tin, Quartz, and Fluorite are the ores available here. Higher-tier ores like Iron, Gold, and Primorite appear in deeper zones.Moonflowers from this zone make excellent daily gifts for nearly every NPC on the island. Collect them in bulk.
