Luco Bronc is one of the story companions in STAR WARS Zero Company, a sharp-tongued sniper from the planet Umbara. He defended his homeworld during the Republic's invasion, and although the Republic ultimately defeated and occupied Umbara, Luco is willing to set aside his grievances to work with Zero Company.

Background

Luco is an Umbaran, a people native to the shadowy world of Umbara. His history with the Republic is bitter: he fought against its forces during the invasion of his planet and carries no love for the side Hawks once served. That resentment makes him a prickly recruit, but his skills are valuable enough that the company brings him aboard anyway, and the contract gives him reason enough to fight.

Role in the Squad

As a sniper, Luco specializes in picking off targets from a distance, rewarding patient positioning over aggression. His long-range fire pairs well with squadmates who can flush enemies out of cover into his line of sight. His abrasive personality is one of the frictions the player has to manage through the crew relationship system.

In Star Wars Lore

In Star Wars lore, Umbara is known as the Shadow World, and the Republic's campaign there was one of the Clone Wars' grimmer chapters. Luco's specific story is original to this game; anything the game does not show on screen belongs to the broader franchise and is not confirmed as part of Zero Company's own telling.
