11Solo Offline Mode lets you play SpaceCraft entirely on your own, with no connection to the shared galaxies. It was added on June 26, 2026, two weeks after the Early Access launch, and the developer described it as the single most-requested addition from launch feedback. It sits alongside the online game rather than replacing it: you choose which one you want, and the two do not mix. For the online experience it stands apart from, see Corporations and Co-Op and Trading and the Player-Driven Economy.2233The mode was requested heavily enough during the first fortnight of Early Access that the developer shipped it ahead of the rest of its quality-of-life queue.4455Turning It On6677Solo Offline Mode is selected the same way you would pick a server region. Open Options, choose Change Region, and select Offline Mode. Because it is a region choice rather than a separate save slot menu, switching back to an online region returns you to your online character.889+910What Is Unavailable Offline10111112A genuinely offline game cannot run the systems that depend on other players, so several online-connected features are switched off in this mode:12131314FeatureAvailability OfflineNexus TradingUnavailableCorporation RankingsUnavailableOther multiplayer-connected systemsUnavailableExploration, building, crafting and progressionAvailable1415The developer positions the mode squarely at players who want to focus on building, exploring and progressing by themselves, so what remains is the single-player spine of the game rather than a trimmed-down version of it.15161617Separate Progression17181819Solo Offline and multiplayer are completely separate experiences, and progress cannot currently be shared between them. An offline save stays exclusive to Solo Offline Mode, and anything you build online stays tied to the online galaxies. Anyone planning a long run should decide which side they want to invest in before starting, because there is no route to move a character or a base across.192021+2022Tuning for Solo Play21232224Offline play is not a persistent online world, so some systems were retimed to suit one player working alone rather than a galaxy full of them:23252426AdjustmentEffectAssembler crafting time in space basesReducedExtractor speed in space basesIncreasedProduction facilities while you are logged outPause on exit and resume when you return to the save2527The pause behaviour is the important one. In the online galaxies production keeps ticking while you are away, which is what makes long automation chains worth setting up. Offline, nothing runs without you, and the faster extraction and assembly rates are the compensation for that.26282729Early Teething Problems28302931The mode did not arrive perfectly clean. A patch on June 26, 2026 fixed a bug that stopped players creating a character in Solo Offline Mode at all, and a server error that blocked access to Offline Mode was tracked on the developer's public issues list before being resolved.
