THE 'MERICAN FLAG is a flagpole that Choko swings as a melee weapon. The name is printed exactly that way, in capitals with a leading apostrophe, in the publisher's English announcement copy, where it appears alongside samurai swords, a drill-arm and guns galore as one of the weapons that define the game. Japanese materials describe the same object as the pole of an American flag; the capitalised English name is the one the game itself uses.

Official copy names it alongside the swords, the drill-arm and the guns without assigning it to one of the three weapon categories. The wider arsenal and how the three categories are drawn are on Weapons.

In the Demo Build

In the build shown at gamescom 2026 the flagpole was large and slow, with wide sweeping arcs that caught several enemies in a single swing. That reach made it one of the two weapons in the build best suited to crowd control and to staggering groups, the other being the drill. Its execution is staged as an over-the-top patriotic set piece, in keeping with the weapon-specific finishers described on Break Gauge and Executions.

The developers said that build had item availability, drop distribution and game parameters adjusted, and that its visual presentation, control feel and system details do not represent the final product, so how the weapon behaved there is a snapshot rather than a balance description. As of September 2026, no statistics have been published for it, and no acquisition method, drop source or upgrade path has been described. Combat covers the system it is used in.
