Storm Bird, known in its base form as Winter Feather Sparrow (冬羽雀), is a Wing-type spirit that serves as the player's air mount in Roco Kingdom: World. Given for free early in the game, Storm Bird is one of the most important spirits in every player's collection due to its dual role as a flying mount and a high-speed physical attacker.

With the Tailwind ability boosting its skill power whenever it moves before the enemy, Storm Bird is a natural fit for aggressive, speed-oriented team compositions. Its evolution line culminates in Holy Feather Wing King, a powerful Wing-type attacker with access to hard-hitting physical moves.

Ability: Tailwind

Storm Bird's ability is Tailwind (顺风). When Storm Bird moves before the enemy in a turn, its skill power increases. This ability synergizes perfectly with Storm Bird's naturally high Speed stat and speed-boosting moves like Ride Wind. A properly built Storm Bird will almost always move first, meaning Tailwind is active on nearly every turn.

The power boost from Tailwind makes Storm Bird's already strong physical moves even more dangerous. Combined with moves like Assault (which can triple in power under certain conditions), a Tailwind-boosted Storm Bird can one-shot many opponents.

Evolution Chain

Storm Bird follows a three-stage evolution chain. Some community sources use the simplified name "Storm Bird" (岚鸟) for the intermediate evolution around level 30, but detailed data sources list the following chain.

At level 56, Storm Bird activates a hidden attribute that grants a speed bonus and the Feather Blade effect. This hidden attribute makes the fully leveled Storm Bird significantly faster and more lethal than its base stats suggest.

Seasonal Appearance Variants

Winter Feather Sparrow has seasonal appearance variants corresponding to spring, summer, autumn, and winter. These are purely cosmetic changes and do not affect the spirit's base stats or combat capabilities. The seasonal variants add visual variety and are a fun collectible element for players who want to see their Storm Bird's plumage change with the in-game seasons.

How to Obtain

Storm Bird is given for free during the early stages of the game. Players who miss the gift or want additional copies can also capture Winter Feather Sparrow in the wild.

PVE Build

The recommended PVE build focuses on maximizing consistent damage output through speed advantage and stacking buffs.

In PVE, the strategy is straightforward. Open with Ride Wind to ensure maximum speed, use Power Boost to stack Physical Attack, then sweep with Assault and Fan Wind. The Tailwind ability provides passive power boosts on every turn where Storm Bird moves first, which should be every turn after the initial Ride Wind.

PVP Build

The PVP build swaps one buff move for Head Bash, which punishes opponents who try to switch out their spirits.

In PVP, Head Bash is critical. Many opponents will try to switch to a counter when they see Storm Bird. Head Bash punishes this by dealing heavy damage to the incoming spirit. Combined with Tailwind-boosted Fan Wind and the potential triple power of Assault, Storm Bird can put enormous pressure on the enemy team.

Weaknesses

Storm Bird's primary weakness is its low Magic Defense. Spirits with strong magic attacks, especially Ice, Electric, or Rock types, can threaten Storm Bird heavily. Players should be careful about sending Storm Bird against magic-heavy teams without support.
