Luoyin
Luoyin is a survival-oriented spirit in Roco Kingdom: World built around physical damage that converts into self-healing. Its kit pairs an HP-draining basic attack, a 100% lifesteal cooldown, and stacking attack and defense buffs, so the more it fights, the harder it hits and the more it heals. For beginners with an underdeveloped party or limited Spirit Cultivation investment, Luoyin solves the most common early problem of running out of HP before clearing a fight.
Combat Role
Role: Self-sustaining bruiser, stays on the field through long encounters
Strength: Each successful attack heals enough to negate normal incoming damage
Weakness: Fights that focus burst damage rather than DPS over time can outpace the lifesteal
Synergy: Pairs naturally with a damage dealer that handles burst windows while Luoyin tanks
Core Skills
Skill | Effect |
|---|---|
Bat | Physical attack that drains HP from the target back to Luoyin |
Greed | Grants 100% lifesteal on the next hit, fully restoring HP if the strike connects on a healthy target |
Power Boost | Increases Luoyin's physical attack output for the rest of the fight (stacks on repeat use up to skill cap) |
Junshi | Raises Luoyin's physical defense, layering with Power Boost so output grows while damage taken shrinks |
Sustain Loop
The standard Luoyin rotation is built to keep the spirit at full or near-full HP indefinitely:
Open with Junshi. Banking defense first means subsequent Bat hits absorb less damage and net more healing per turn.
Stack Power Boost across early turns. Each stack pushes Bat's drain higher, so the lifesteal scales with the buff.
Use Bat as the maintenance attack. Continuous HP drain keeps Luoyin topped off through the bulk of the fight.
Cooldown Greed for emergencies. If incoming damage spikes, Greed's full lifesteal hit restores Luoyin to safe HP.
Why It Works for Beginners
Most early-game losses come from running out of HP before clearing a wave. Luoyin sidesteps that failure mode by trading individual turn efficiency for sustainability. The kit has no positioning or timing requirements; even a player who picks moves at random still gets value from passive lifesteal. As Magic Level and Ranks rises and a deeper roster becomes available, Luoyin transitions naturally from solo carry into a frontline tank for PvP and Shining Contest defensive teams.
Tips
Build Power Boost stacks before committing to Bat damage, so each lifesteal hit pulls more HP back.
Junshi first when facing a heavy physical attacker. The defense buff converts a borderline bad matchup into a sustainable one.
Greed has a cooldown. Save it for visibly dangerous turns rather than using it on cooldown.
Pair Luoyin with Emberkind Bug or another burst spirit for bosses with damage windows that exceed Luoyin's lifesteal pace.
