The Black Wizard's Magic Guild Base (黑巫师魔导团基地) is the main outpost of the Black Witch Group. The base is accessible during and after the related main-story chapter; players returning to the base can also trigger a hidden rare spirit encounter.
A wooden stake prop stands inside the base. Using star magic on the stake stuns it and spawns Shadow Tree (幽影树). After the stun, Shadow Tree can be caught with any Gulu Ball.
Star magic is unlocked through the open-world magic system progression. Make sure the relevant magic is equipped before attempting the trigger.
Shadow Tree has no other documented acquisition path at launch. Clear the trigger during your first return visit.

The Magic Guild Base unlocks during the Black Witch Group story arc, which is part of the mid-game main story chain. The first visit is scripted and players are guided through the courtyard automatically. After the chapter ends, the base is added to the world map as a regular fast-travel location and can be revisited freely.
Fast travel is enabled once the base's magic source has been activated for the first time.
Daily check-in rewards do not appear at this location, so revisits are mainly for the hidden spirit and for nearby exploration objectives.
The base shares a region with several Ghost-type and Dark-type wild spirits.
The wooden stake that hides Shadow Tree sits in plain sight inside the base courtyard. It is visually identical to a few decorative stakes elsewhere in the area; the trigger stake is the one that plays the star-magic stun animation on contact. Cycling star magic across the stakes is a quick way to identify the correct one.
Once Shadow Tree is captured, the base loses its hidden-spirit interaction. The stake remains as scenery and the magic source teleport keeps working. Returning trips are useful primarily for completing the local exploration checklist and for any Black Witch Group follow-up objectives that may appear in later patches.
