Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Tactics is scheduled for release in 2027. No month, quarter or day has been announced. The 2027 window has been stated consistently since the reveal on 25 August 2026, both on the game's store listing and in Ubisoft's own announcement, which described the game as arriving the following year with the exact date to be announced.
Platforms
Three console and PC platforms are confirmed, alongside two cloud services. On PC the game is listed across four storefronts and clients.
Platform | Type | Notes |
|---|---|---|
PC | Native | Listed on the Ubisoft Store, Steam, the Epic Games Store and Ubisoft Connect |
PlayStation 5 | Native | Confirmed at reveal |
Xbox Series X|S | Native | Confirmed at reveal |
GeForce NOW | Cloud | Named in Ubisoft's own wishlist listing |
Blacknut | Cloud | Named in Ubisoft's own wishlist listing |
No previous-generation console version has been announced. There is no PlayStation 4 or Xbox One listing, no Nintendo platform, and no macOS or Linux build: the store listing marks Windows as the only supported desktop operating system. Steam Deck compatibility is currently listed as unknown, which is the default state for a game that has not been reviewed for it rather than a statement that it will not run.
System Requirements
Published requirements are placeholders at this stage. Both the minimum and the recommended entries currently read the same, listing only a 64-bit processor and operating system with Windows 11. No processor model, memory figure, graphics card or storage requirement has been given for either tier.
Tier | Operating System | Other Components |
|---|---|---|
Minimum | Windows 11, 64-bit | Not yet listed |
Recommended | Windows 11, 64-bit | Not yet listed |
Ubisoft has separately said that the configuration shared with Closed Test participants is deliberately higher than the final target, because the test build predates the optimisation phase, and that final recommendations will be communicated once that phase is complete. Treat any number circulating from the test as a test specification, not a launch specification.
Closed Test
A Closed Test was announced shortly after the reveal, with registration already open at the time of the announcement. It is limited to a selected number of players.
Detail | Status |
|---|---|
Registration | Open |
Test dates | To be announced |
Platform | PC only, through Ubisoft Connect |
Console access | Not included in the test |
Specifications | Sent to selected participants by email, and explicitly not final |
Feedback channel | A dedicated area on the official game community server for selected participants |
Ubisoft has stressed that the PC-only restriction is a technical limitation of the test itself and does not affect the shipping game, which will be available on Steam and the other platforms on release day alongside the console versions.
Storefront Details
The store listing carries fifteen supported languages. Eight of them include full audio: English, French, German, Spanish for Spain, Japanese, Portuguese for Brazil, Simplified Chinese and Arabic. The remaining seven ship with interface and subtitle support. The listing carries a single player category and no multiplayer or co-operative category, which matches Ubisoft's statement that the game is a single-player experience. Genres are given as Action and Strategy. No price has been published on any storefront, and no editions, bundles or downloadable content are listed. Agreement to a third-party end user licence agreement is required.
