Probably Stolen fills its counter with a stream of customers, a handful of whom have names. This page lists only characters that official posts, patch notes or pre-release screenshots confirm, with what each is known to do. As of October 20, 2026, the developers have not published backstories for any of them.
You play a former scavenger who took over a storefront on the station thanks to a generous loan and questionable timing. Your aim is to earn enough to buy the shop outright before the rising rent catches up with you. As of October 20, 2026, the official material does not give the shopkeeper a name. Your starting trade and perks shape the early game; see Starting Scenarios and Perks.
Character | Confirmed Role |
|---|---|
Joe Wild (Jonathan Wild) | Runs Wild's Network, a menu of referrals, favors, informants, suppliers, services and gunsmith options with credits and Wild's Favor shown on the network screen. Can be hired to remove evidence. His card in a pre-release screenshot reads "JONATHAN WILD At your service", and he greets you with "Hello! Welcome to our little neighborhood!" |
Dr. Jackson | A vendor with his own stock. Sells the water trading guide (added in Patch 48.3.10), the Toolbox after day 14, and the aug scanner until Security declares the aug threat over. |
Sawyer | Gives you the Underground Exchange Directive. A starting perk called Sawyer's Crew is tied to him. |
Odin | Appears on the Security wanted poster. You can call him for a delivery and have him arrested, which crosses him off the poster. |
Georgio | A water seller in a pre-release screenshot, offering "100% Pure Dehydrated Water" with the line "Gaze upon... the water of tomorrow!" |
Dr. Jackson's role as a supplier links to Water Trading and Augs and the Rogue AI. Sawyer's directive covers the smuggler bay's underground exchange, explained in Security and Contraband.
Most visitors are identified by role rather than name. These roles are confirmed in patch notes or screenshots:
Customer Type | What Is Confirmed |
|---|---|
The Thief | Has stock that scales with your Black Market reputation. |
Revolution Quartermaster | A customer from the Revolution whose screenshot line is "The Revolution is bleeding, comrade." |
Security inspector and officer | Inspect the shop, and visit to deliver fines or make arrests after an investigation. |
Information dealer | Sells information about events. Dismissing them after paying but before they finish talking used to cancel the event (fixed in Update 049). |
Trade board official | Accepts bribes; items donated to them count toward the bribe. |
The butcher | A customer who can be reported to Security. |
Appraisal customers | Bring items for an estimate and leave once their business is done; see Authentication and Appraisal. |
Barter customers | Offer goods in trade instead of credits. |
Lower Level Citizen | An ordinary resident; one objects when you draw your gun. |
Upper Level customers and tourists | Groups with different buying rules, such as for Premium Spring Water. |
The station's wider groups, such as the Revolution and the elites, are covered on Factions and Reputation.
Patch 48.3.10 marked certain essential recurring customers as non-shootable, so they cannot be lost to a mistaken shot. The patch notes do not list which customers this covers.
As of October 20, 2026, there is no official list of every named character, no voice cast information, and no character backstories. The developer has said the game was first built as a sandbox simulator and that a main story is being added at the community's request, to arrive in a post-launch update after the October 28, 2026 release.
