Overview

Trapinch is a Ground-type Pokemon in Pokemon Pokopia, classified as the Ant Pit Pokemon (Dex #237). This Pokemon lives in arid deserts. It patiently awaits prey inside its funnel-shaped nest. Trapinch carries two specialties: Litter (producing Squishy Clay) and Bulldoze, making it a versatile helper for resource gathering and terrain clearing.

Pink Tall Grass (#137)

A small plot made up of four tufts of pink tall grass. Spots like this are often found in the skylands.

Trapinch is a Common visitor at the Pink Tall Grass habitat. It is available during all times of day (Morning, Day, Evening, Night) and in all weather conditions (Sunny, Cloudy, Rainy). This habitat can be placed in any area.

How to Befriend

Build the Pink Tall Grass habitat by placing four Pink Tall Grass tufts near each other. Trapinch is a Common visitor, so it should appear relatively quickly once the habitat is set up. Walk up and interact with it when it shows up to befriend it.

Specialties

Litter

Trapinch has the Litter specialty. Pokemon with the Litter specialty produce collectible materials over time. Trapinch specifically produces Squishy Clay, a crafting material that can be used in various recipes.

Bulldoze

Trapinch also has the Bulldoze specialty. Pokemon with the Bulldoze specialty can clear and flatten terrain, removing rocks and obstacles to open up new building space on your island.

Preferences

Trapinch prefers dry environments. Decorate near its habitat with dirt-themed items, hard objects, and exercise equipment to raise its Comfort Level.

Evolution Family

Trapinch is the first stage in a three-stage evolution line. In the main Pokemon series, Trapinch evolves into Vibrava and then into Flygon. In Pokopia, there is no evolution mechanic, so each member must be found at its own habitat independently. All three share the Pink Tall Grass (#137) habitat, though Trapinch appears as a Common visitor while Vibrava and Flygon are Rare.

Tips

• The Pink Tall Grass habitat only requires four Pink Tall Grass items, making it one of the simpler habitats to build.

• Since Trapinch, Vibrava, and Flygon all share the same habitat, building one Pink Tall Grass area gives you a chance to encounter the entire evolution family.

• Trapinch's Litter specialty produces Squishy Clay passively, making it a steady source of this crafting material.

• Pair Trapinch's Bulldoze specialty with other ground-themed Pokemon to clear large areas of terrain quickly.

• Trapinch also shares the Pink Tall Grass habitat with Swablu and Duskull (both Common), plus Vibrava and Flygon (both Rare).
