33 Trainer Rank is the main story progression system in Pokemon Pokopia. It determines which areas the player can access and tracks advancement through the game's narrative. Trainer Rank is raised exclusively by completing Important Requests in each of the game's main areas. There are four ranks: the starting rank (no title), Great, Ultra, and Master.

55 Each rank up opens a set of green Area Gates on the map, granting access to new biomes with new Pokemon, materials, and story content. The rank system ensures players engage with each area's core mechanics before advancing.
