Initial trading and economy guide
Pokemon Pokopia uses a bartering system rather than traditional currency for inter-Pokemon trade. There are no coins in the traditional sense; instead, players exchange items of equivalent value. The Life Coin system, earned from completing Challenges at Pokemon Centers, serves as the separate currency for the PC Shop.
To create a trade shop, you need:
2 Long Tables (placed together)
1 Cash Register (requires electrical power)
A power source (Electric-type Pokemon with Generate specialty or windmill)
A Pokemon with the Trade specialty to staff the shop
Pokemon with the Trade specialty include Slowbro, Hoothoot, Noctowl, Hitmonlee, Hitmonchan, Hitmontop, Blastoise, Meowth, Audino, Zorua, Gastrodon, and Happiny.
Item Category | Approximate Value |
|---|---|
Basic blocks (stone, dirt) | 10 |
Honey, vegetables | 50 |
Processed materials (Lumber, Ingots) | Higher |
Crafted furniture | Variable (depends on complexity) |
To complete a trade, the total value of items you offer must exactly match the value of the item you want. There is no change given for overpayment.
Life Coins are the PC Shop currency earned from completing daily Challenges at rebuilt Pokemon Centers. Challenges refresh each day and scale in difficulty with Environment Level. Life Coins are spent on:
Building Kits and blueprints
Crafting recipes
PP Up (300 coins, increases max PP)
Packing Tips (expands inventory size)
Pokemon Center Rebuilding Kits (1,000 coins)
Special items and decorations
