11Overview2233Status update (October 19, 2026): the seventh limited-time event, Pumpkaboo's Sweet Surprises, went live on October 17, 2026 at 5:00 AM and runs until November 1, 2026 at 4:59 AM local time; it requires Version 2.0.1. Every earlier event has ended. Bulbasaur's Jump Rope Contest returned for a second run from September 20 to September 28, 2026, the first time a Pokopia event repeated. Before that, Fetching Scales for Feebas ran from August 13 to August 28, 2026, Zorua's Hide-and-Sneak Contest ended on July 27, 2026, and the Sableye event ended on May 14, 2026 at 4:59 AM local time, so Sableye is no longer obtainable in real time except via the system-clock workaround.4455Pokemon Pokopia supports ongoing limited-time events that introduce exclusive Pokemon, special materials, and unique furniture items. Events rotate on a schedule and require certain game progress to participate. The game uses the Nintendo Switch 2's system clock for event timing, meaning events are date-coded to the console's internal clock rather than an online server.6677Pokopia also has a Mystery Gift system for redeeming promotional items via the Pokemon Center PC. This is the first Pokemon spin-off title to include Mystery Gift functionality.8899More Spores for Hoppip10101111The first limited-time event in Pokemon Pokopia, announced by The Pokemon Company on March 5, 2026. During this event, players collect Cotton Spores from Dream Islands and exchange them at Pokemon Centers for picnic-themed furniture. The furniture is used to build event-exclusive habitats that attract Hoppip, Skiploom, and Jumpluff.121213131414Event Details15151616DetailInformationDurationMarch 10, 2026 (5:00 AM local time) to March 25, 2026 (4:59 AM local time)Start Time (North America)5:00 AM local time / 2:00 PM MDT / 3:00 PM CDT / 4:00 PM EDTStart Time (UK/Europe)9:00 PM GMT / 10:00 PM CET / 11:00 PM EETStart Time (Asia/Oceania)6:00 AM JST (March 10) / 5:00 AM AWST / 8:00 AM AEDTRequirementRebuilt Pokemon Center in at least one areaRestrictionNot available on Cloud Islands (the multiplayer islands)1717How to Participate18181919Rebuild the Pokemon Center in at least one area. Players have from the game's launch (March 5) until the event start (March 9) to complete this requirement.During the event period, Hoppip appears outside the rebuilt Pokemon Center. Talk to it to start the event.Travel to Dream Islands by giving any Doll to Drifloon. Cotton Spores spawn on all Dream Islands during the event as white cotton-like pickups on the ground near rocks, driftwood, and other objects.Collect Cotton Spores by walking over them. No tools or specialty Pokemon are required. You can visit one Dream Island per day per Doll type.Return to any rebuilt Pokemon Center and exchange Cotton Spores at the event shop for picnic-themed furniture.Give Hoppip 15 Cotton Spores to receive a Picnic Blanket and befriend Hoppip (it joins your town).Use the event furniture to build the Yellow Carpet and Field-Trip Friends habitats to attract Skiploom and Jumpluff.20202121Event Shop: Picnic Furniture22222323Cotton Spores can be exchanged at the Pokemon Center for the following items. The Litter specialty causes it to drop collectible materials.3838These three Pokemon cannot be encountered outside the event period. Hoppip and Skiploom have the Grow specialty, which speeds up nearby plant growth, making them useful for farming and gardening. Jumpluff has both Grow and Litter, with the Litter specialty causing it to periodically drop materials that can be collected. None of these Pokemon can be obtained through Pokemon HOME transfers. Players who miss the event window can still access it by adjusting the system clock (see below).39394040Cloud Islands Restriction41414242The More Spores for Hoppip event is not available on Cloud Islands (the multiplayer islands). Hoppip, Skiploom, and Jumpluff cannot appear on Cloud Islands, and event furniture items cannot be used there. All event participation must take place in the single-player areas.43434444System Clock Exploit45454646Community testing discovered that the event triggers based on the Switch 2's system clock rather than online server verification. Players can access the event early or after its official end date by adjusting the console's Date and Time settings (Settings > System > Date and Time > uncheck "Synchronize Clock"). Setting the date to any day within March 9-24, 2026 activates the event content.47474848This means the Hoppip event is not truly permanently missable. Players who purchase the game months or years after the event window can still set their clock back to access the content. This is similar to how Animal Crossing: New Horizons handled seasonal events. The development team has not indicated whether this will be patched.49495050Bulbasaur's Jump Rope Contest51515252The second limited-time event in Pokemon Pokopia. During this contest, Bulbasaur hosts a special Jump Rope competition at any rebuilt Pokemon Center. Players earn escalating rewards at jump milestones, including large quantities of Pokemetal and Rare Pokemetal for reaching 75 and 100 jumps respectively. A Jump Rope Trophy is awarded at 50 jumps. Up to 4 players can participate, though only the host earns rewards. The contest returned for a second run from September 20 to September 28, 2026.53535454DetailInformationDuration (first run)April 19, 2026 (5:00 AM local time) to April 26, 2026 (4:59 AM local time)Duration (second run)September 20, 2026 (5:00 AM local time) to September 28, 2026 (4:59 AM local time)RequirementRebuilt Pokemon Center in at least one area; the second run also requires Version 2.0.1 and the Withered Wasteland request Yawn up a Storm clearedRestrictionFirst run: not available on Cloud Islands. During this event, Pokemon throughout your settlement begin imitating other species from their biome. Players must identify which Pokemon each impersonator is copying. Successfully answering three quizzes rewards the exclusive Inflatable Sudowoodo outdoor decoration.60606161DetailInformationDurationApril 1, 5:00 AM to April 2, 5:00 AM (annually, based on NS2 system clock)RequirementAt least one Pokemon Center must be fully rebuiltRewardInflatable Sudowoodo (outdoor decoration)RepeatableAnnually on April 16262Walk up to an imitating Pokemon and interact with it. Players collect Red Crystal Fragments from caves on Dream Islands and exchange them at Pokemon Centers for camping-themed furniture items. See the full Sableye Event Guide for the complete event shop, reward tiers, and tips.70707171Future Events72727373The Pokemon Company has announced plans for ongoing limited-time events and content updates for Pokemon Pokopia. New events are expected to follow a seasonal schedule, offering new requests, guest Pokemon, and themed furniture. The September 2026 rerun of Bulbasaur's Jump Rope Contest confirmed that past contests can return, so a missed contest is not necessarily gone for good. Pumpkaboo's Sweet Surprises has been running since October 17, 2026 and ends on November 1, 2026. As of October 19, 2026 no event after it has been announced.74747575Wish Upon a Jirachi76767777A free limited-time event that ran from June 23 to July 8, 2026, built around Jirachi, the Wish Pokemon. Announced June 18, 2026, it arrived with the Version 1.1.1 update. You talk to Jirachi for a wish notes recipe, fulfill other Pokemon's requests to turn wish notes into sparkling wish notes, then trade those to Jirachi at a rebuilt Pokemon Center for furniture and decor themed after the starry sky. A rebuilt Pokemon Center is required to take part. Pumpkaboo, the pumpkin Pokemon, arrives near the Pokemon Center; grant its request to befriend it. Then use Camouflage to disguise yourself as furniture or other objects that Pokemon like and startle them when they come close. Each startled Pokemon hands over Pumpkin Candy, which you trade at the Pokemon Center for furniture and other items themed on a midnight festival. Critics pointed out that players who could not afford the game at launch might be permanently locked out of event-exclusive Pokemon.137137138138However, the community quickly discovered the system clock exploit, which effectively makes all events accessible at any time regardless of the official event window. This discovery significantly reduced FOMO concerns, as players can always set their Switch 2 clock back to the event dates to participate. The general consensus shifted to viewing the system as more consumer-friendly than server-locked events used by other live-service games.139139140140Event Participation Tips141141142142Prioritize rebuilding Pokemon Centers before events start. The Hoppip event only works in areas with completed Pokemon Centers, so rebuild as many as possible for maximum Cotton Spore farming.Visit Dream Islands every day during the event. Cotton Spores appear on all island types, so use a different Doll each day to maximize visits.Cotton Spores are collected by simply walking over them. No tools or specialty Pokemon are required. Look near rocks, driftwood, and other objects on Dream Islands.Buy Dandy Flower Seeds first (5 Cotton Spores). You need to grow 4 Dandy Flowers for the Yellow Carpet habitat, and flowers take time to grow. Plant them early.Give Hoppip 15 Cotton Spores as soon as possible. This befriends Hoppip and gives you a Pokemon with the Grow specialty, which helps your Dandy Flowers grow faster.Build the Yellow Carpet habitat to attract all three event Pokemon (Hoppip, Skiploom, Jumpluff). The Field-Trip Friends habitat only attracts Skiploom.Jumpluff has both the Grow and Litter specialties, making it the most valuable event Pokemon. Prioritize getting Jumpluff by building the Yellow Carpet habitat. If you miss the official event window, set your Switch 2 clock to any date between March 9-24, 2026 to access the event. No internet connection is required.Redeem all Mystery Gifts as soon as you can access the Pokemon Center PC. The Ditto Rug is free via internet download, no code needed.Check official Pokemon social media channels and in-game Mystery Gift notifications for future code distributions and event announcements.
