Overview

"Investigate the Source of Music" is a request in Pokemon Pokopia given by Scorbunny in Rocky Ridges. Scorbunny hears mysterious music coming from the walls near the mines and asks you to investigate. This quest leads you through a secondary mine area to discover DJ Rotom, an important character who runs the music and party systems.

Walkthrough

Step 1: Talk to Scorbunny

Find Scorbunny near the mine area in Rocky Ridges. Scorbunny tells you about mysterious music emanating from the walls and asks you to investigate the source.

Step 2: Use Rock Smash to Enter the Mine

Use Rock Smash to break through the rocky terrain blocking the path. This leads you to a secondary mine entrance deeper in the area.

Step 3: Power Up Your Rock Smash

You need the Powered-Up Rock Smash to break through sturdier blocks deeper in the mine. If you have not already, complete the "Make a Hamburger Steak" quest and eat a Hamburger Steak to upgrade your Rock Smash.

Step 4: Clear the Path With Powered-Up Rock Smash

Use Powered-Up Rock Smash to destroy the reinforced blocks blocking the way forward. Clear a path through the mine until you reach the source of the music.

Step 5: Meet DJ Rotom

At the end of the mine path, you find a mysterious orange machine emitting music. Talk to the machine to reveal that it is DJ Rotom. DJ Rotom introduces itself and becomes your friend.

Step 6: Report Back to Scorbunny

Exit the mine and return to Scorbunny. Tell Scorbunny about your discovery to complete the request.

DJ Rotom has the DJ specialty, which enables background music via CDs and is important for the Rocky Ridges party quest line

Tips

You must have Powered-Up Rock Smash before attempting this quest. Eat a Hamburger Steak from the "Make a Hamburger Steak" quest to get it.
DJ Rotom is a key character for the "Time to Party!" Important Request later in the Rocky Ridges storyline. Befriend DJ Rotom as soon as possible.
The secondary mine accessed during this quest may contain additional ores and resources worth collecting on your way through.
