This is the first and only appearance of the Stereo Rotom form in the Pokemon franchise. DJ Rotom holds the exclusive DJ specialty, which lets players change the background music by building a playlist from CDs found during exploration.

Previous forms include Heat Rotom (microwave oven), Wash Rotom (washing machine), Frost Rotom (refrigerator), Fan Rotom (electric fan), and Mow Rotom (lawn mower). In Pokopia, Rotom inhabits a mini stereo, creating the brand-new Stereo Rotom form. This form is Electric/Normal type and is exclusive to Pokemon Pokopia.
