Initial version (2026-03-20)
Ariados is a Bug/Poison-type Pokemon in Pokemon Pokopia, classified as the Long Leg Pokemon (Dex #110). It spins string not only from its rear but also from its mouth, making it hard to tell which end is which. Ariados is paired with Spinarak (its pre-evolution in the main series). It carries the Litter specialty and produces Twine as a passive resource. Unlike Spinarak, Ariados is a Rare visitor at the Yellow Tall Grass habitat.
Ariados lives at the Yellow Tall Grass habitat (#050).
Item | Quantity | Notes |
|---|---|---|
Yellow Tall Grass | 4 | Planted or found in the wild |
Ariados is a Rare visitor at this habitat. It is available during all times of day (Dawn, Day, Dusk, Night) and in all weather conditions (Sunny, Cloudy, Rainy). The habitat can be placed in any area.
The Yellow Tall Grass habitat can be placed in any area by planting four patches of Yellow Tall Grass near each other. This is the only habitat where Ariados appears.
Plant four patches of Yellow Tall Grass near each other to create the habitat. Since Ariados is a Rare visitor, be patient and check the habitat regularly. Walk up and interact with Ariados when it appears to befriend it.
Ariados has the Litter specialty. Pokemon with the Litter specialty continuously drop useful items near their habitat, even when they cannot be seen in the area. Ariados produces Twine as its Litter resource, the same material as Spinarak. Twine is a versatile crafting material. Pokemon with the Litter specialty do not need to be given any materials; they produce items passively.

Ariados is paired with Spinarak (Dex #109). In the main Pokemon series, Spinarak evolves into Ariados at level 22. In Pokopia, both share the Yellow Tall Grass habitat and both produce Twine through the Litter specialty. The key difference is rarity: Spinarak is Common while Ariados is Rare. Other Pokemon that share this habitat include Grubbin.
Since Ariados and Spinarak share the same habitat and both produce Twine, building the Yellow Tall Grass habitat gives you two sources of this crafting material.
Ariados is Rare, so it may take several checks before it appears. Keep visiting the Yellow Tall Grass habitat regularly.
Other Pokemon with humid environment preferences include Weepinbell, Victreebel, Paras, Parasect, and Bellsprout, if you want to group similar Pokemon together.
