Revision 1

The Watchful Shadow Warden is a friendly quest giver near the summit Bell of Weeping Creek Valley's Sha-Chi Tower in Phantom Blade Zero. Speaking with him begins A Severed Mindseal.

Find the Warden

Climb through Sha-Chi Tower to the topmost floor and activate the summit Bell. Approaching the Warden overlooking the valley triggers the first conversation. This is the friendly Warden, distinct from the hostile Wardens fought along the tower route.

Retrieve the Primal Stone

The Warden explains that a Primal Stone helped him break free of his Mindseal and asks for another. Follow the route above and behind him, descend the ladders and defeat the hostile Warden guarding the Sha-Chi Furnace Inspection Crank.

Open the shortcut back into the tower and use the crank at the furnace latch. Collect the Primal Stone from inside, then return to the summit. The tower's Bells provide a route back once activated.

Quest continuation

Give the stone to the Watchful Shadow Warden to advance the quest. He leaves with a request to meet again, and this first handover lists no reward. It is an opening segment, not a documented completion of the entire questline.
