Ravenous Blade
August 26, 2026 at 02:48 PM
Initial version (2026-08-26)
Ravenous Blade is a limited S-Class Gas Arc introduced in Version 1.3 "Rising from the Moonlit Fog" on August 19, 2026. It is the signature Arc of the limited S-Class character Zankou, and its passive keys off Incantation damage, the element Zankou deals with every attack in her kit.
The Arc pairs a large flat Crit Rate bonus with a stacking Crit DMG buff that builds as the wearer keeps landing Incantation hits. That makes it a main-DPS Arc rather than a support piece: it rewards characters who stay on field, chain attacks, and rely on critical hits for the bulk of their output. Its secondary stat is Crit Rate, which stacks with the passive and lets a build spend its Console Equipment rolls on Crit DMG instead.
Ravenous Blade is not part of the standard pool. It is offered only through a limited Arc Research Program that runs alongside Zankou's debut board, so it is unavailable outside that window unless it returns in a later rerun.
"Where fear takes hold, death is never far behind."
The line fits both the Arc's combat identity and Zankou's place in the story. She is tied to The Scarlet Letter, the organization the Version 1.3 main story episode Fogden Game sets out to dismantle, and her kit leans on fear, illusion, and lingering damage rather than raw burst.
The Arc's passive has two halves. The first is an unconditional Crit Rate increase that applies the moment the Arc is equipped. The second is a stacking Crit DMG buff: every time the wearer deals Incantation damage they gain one stack, up to seven, and each stack lasts 15 seconds. Stacks can be gained no faster than once every 0.3 seconds, and re-triggering refreshes the full duration rather than adding time.
Because the trigger is "deal Incantation DMG" and not a specific skill type, basic attacks, charged attacks, skills, ultimates, and follow-up hits all feed the counter. On a character whose entire kit is Incantation, seven stacks come up quickly and stay up for the rest of the fight.
Refinement | Crit Rate | Crit DMG per Stack | Max Stacks | Crit DMG at 7 Stacks |
|---|---|---|---|---|
R1 | 16% | 9% | 7 | 63% |
R2 | 20% | 11.3% | 7 | 79.1% |
R3 | 24% | 13.5% | 7 | 94.5% |
R4 | 28% | 15.8% | 7 | 110.6% |
R5 | 32% | 18% | 7 | 126% |
At R1 the Arc is already worth roughly 16% Crit Rate and 63% Crit DMG once fully stacked. At R5 that rises to 32% Crit Rate and 126% Crit DMG, which is why duplicate copies are valuable on a dedicated Incantation carry. Stack duration, stack cap, and the 0.3-second interval do not change with refinement; only the two percentage values scale.
The passive appears in game under a localized name. Two renderings are in circulation, "Cursed Blade - Soulbound" and "Demon Blade: Life Bind", so the label may differ between client languages and builds even though the numbers above are the same.
Ravenous Blade uses the standard limited S-Class stat line: ATK as the base attribute and Crit Rate as the advanced attribute.
Level | ATK | Crit Rate |
|---|---|---|
Lv. 20 | 154 | 9.6% |
Lv. 80 | 570 | 24.0% |
The Level 80 figures match the other limited S-Class Arcs in the pool, including Ready-Ready, which reran on the same patch. The difference between them is entirely in the passive, not the raw stat line, so the choice comes down to which trigger your carry can hold up.
Ravenous Blade wants an Incantation damage dealer who stays on field long enough to build and hold seven stacks. It gives nothing to characters who deal other damage types, and very little to swap-in burst units that leave before the stacks mature.
Character | Fit | Why |
|---|---|---|
Signature | S-Class Incantation carry whose Reality Form and Illusion Form chains, charged attacks, aerial plunge, and Critical Riposte all deal Incantation damage, so stacks build on almost every input. | |
Other Incantation carries | Strong | Any on-field Incantation damage dealer converts the passive fully, since the trigger is damage type rather than a specific skill slot. |
Incantation sub-DPS | Situational | Works if the character gets enough field time to reach high stack counts, but off-field rotations waste most of the buff. |
Non-Incantation characters | Avoid | The stacking half of the passive never triggers, leaving only the flat Crit Rate. A standard Arc will usually beat it. |
Zankou's passive also enhances Scorch and spreads damage-over-time effects, so a team built to keep those effects rolling tends to keep Ravenous Blade at full stacks as a side effect of its normal rotation.

Availability | August 19, 2026 (after the Version 1.3 update) to September 9, 2026, 05:59 (UTC+8) |
Program | "Spellbound Special" Arc Research Program |
Currency | Tri-Key or Spellbound Keys |
Unlock requirement | Complete the main story quest "Prologue - A New Destination - Head to Eibon Antique Shop" |
Where | Arc Shop, then Arc Research Program |
Exclusivity | "This Arc is currently only available through this program." |
The program runs on the same schedule as the "Alluring Shadows" limited board that carries Zankou, so players chasing the pair need to budget both character and Arc currency inside the same three-week window. Rerun Arcs from earlier patches, such as Ready-Ready on the "Tiger Special" program, run in parallel and draw from separate key types.
Taking Ravenous Blade from Level 20 to Level 80 runs through six ascension phases and consumes Beetle Coins alongside three tiers of numeral and essence materials.

The first step, Level 20 to Level 30, costs 20,000 Beetle Coins plus four Beaty and four Blurred Numeral. Costs climb steeply through the later phases, and the higher-tier materials appear only in the upper brackets, so plan the final two ascensions around a stocked inventory rather than expecting to clear them the week the Arc drops.
Build Crit DMG on Console Equipment rather than Crit Rate. Between the 24.0% advanced attribute and the passive's flat bonus, the Arc supplies most of the Crit Rate a build needs on its own.
Open fights with quick, low-commitment Incantation hits to reach seven stacks before spending an ultimate. The 0.3-second interval means rapid multi-hit strings still take about two seconds to cap out.
Stacks refresh rather than extend. There is no benefit to spacing out attacks; keep attacking and the 15-second timer simply resets from full.
Check the damage type, not the character. The passive reads Incantation damage, so a character who converts part of their kit to another element loses value on those hits.
Refine only after committing to an Incantation main carry. The refinement gains are large, but they are worthless on any other damage type.
Within the limited S-Class pool, Ravenous Blade occupies the crit-scaling slot for a single damage type. Compare it against the alternatives before spending keys.
Arc | Profile | When to Prefer It |
|---|---|---|
ATK and Basic Attack damage, with a boss-damage window | Better on carries who are not Incantation, or on boss-focused runs where the conditional damage bonus applies. | |
Standard-pool S-Class Arcs | Unconditional stat lines | Better on flexible or rotating rosters, since they carry no damage-type restriction. |
Lower stat ceiling, easier to refine | Reasonable stopgap while saving keys, especially at high refinement on a budget build. |
