New Helios is a major city in the world of Neverness to Everness, distinct from Hethereau but connected through the Bureau of Anomaly Control's operations. It is one of the primary locations where catastrophic Anomaly events occur.

Anomaly Activity

New Helios experiences significant Anomaly activity, with the Worheimer Index being closely monitored by Bureau personnel. The city has experienced major catastrophic events including Hypervortex emergences that require immediate response from specialized units.

The opening animation 'Hypervortex Before the Storm' depicts the danger New Helios faces: 'At dusk, the citizens of New Helios were preparing for an incoming torrential downpour, never imagining that another catastrophe would arrive first...'

Bureau Operations

The Bureau of Anomaly Control maintains operations in New Helios to monitor and respond to emerging threats. ETD-4 (Captain Baicang, Skia, Fadia, and Lacrimosa) was deployed to New Helios to deal with a catastrophic Hypervortex emergence.

Strong fluctuations in the Worheimer Index in New Helios trigger natural nullification protocols while Bureau personnel continue search and containment operations.

Relationship to Hethereau

New Helios appears to be a separate city from Hethereau but connected through the Bureau's jurisdiction. Bureau units are deployed from Hethereau to New Helios when major Anomaly events require additional resources.
