New Helios is a major city in the world of Neverness to Everness. It is one of the primary operational areas for the Bureau of Anomaly Control and a location where significant Anomaly events occur.

Anomaly Activity

New Helios experiences significant Anomaly activity, with the Worheimer Index being closely monitored by Bureau personnel. The city has experienced major catastrophic events including Hypervortex emergences.

The opening animation 'Hypervortex Before the Storm' depicts ETD-4 traveling to New Helios to deal with such a catastrophe: 'At dusk, the citizens of New Helios were preparing for an incoming torrential downpour, never imagining that another catastrophe would arrive first...'

Relationship to Hethereau

New Helios appears to be distinct from Hethereau but connected through the Bureau's operations. Bureau units are deployed from Hethereau to New Helios to respond to major Anomaly events.
