About the Partnership

Team17 partnered with Beehive Studios on April 24, 2025 to bring LumenTale: Memories of Trey to PC and Nintendo Switch. A senior producer at Team17, Rob Elser, spoke about working alongside the team as Beehive’s vision for the story of Trey came together.

Team17 is among the longer-established independent game publishers and has worked with many small studios over the years. For Beehive Studios, the LumenTale partnership is the team's first formal publishing relationship after they self-published earlier projects, so it represents a step up in production support, marketing reach, and platform certification.

The publisher handles store-side logistics on Steam and Nintendo Switch, the Nintendo SKU rollout, and the press cycle around the May 26, 2026 launch. The development team at Beehive Studios continues to handle the design and content of the game itself.
