Max is part of the Magnolia squadron, one of the Lumen units stationed across Talea. As Trey’s mentor, he introduces him to the work of the order: catching wild Animon with the Holoken, raising them, and using them in turn-based battles. His guidance is part of how Trey finds his footing in the early hours of the adventure.
The Magnolia squadron is one of several Lumen units organized across the two regions of Talea.
