Kapan

Kapan is a leading researcher of Anivis and Animon in LumenTale: Memories of Trey. He is credited as the inventor of the Anispace, the personal space where captured creatures live and train. He is referred to in-world by the honorific Dr. Kapan.

Kapan is one of the foremost researchers studying Anivis, the energy that flows through Talea and makes up the Animon. His invention of the Anispace gave members of the Lumen a place to house and care for the creatures they capture. He is based in Iris Hamlet and is supported by AARI, the organization founded by Blanco that backs the Lumen.

Dr. Kapan is the inventor of the Anispace, the customizable pocket-space where each Lumen's Animon reside and can be displayed alongside furniture. As one of the leading public researchers on Anivis, the energy the world says composes every Animon, his work underpins many of the systems players use throughout the campaign.

His base of operations is a laboratory near Iris Hamlet, supported by the AARI organization. He is also the uncle of Ales, the local youth who acts as Trey's first friend in town, which gives Kapan a personal as well as professional stake in Trey's arrival.

Connections

Kapan is the uncle of Ales, who repaired the robot Moka. His laboratory is where Trey is brought after he is discovered unconscious in the Scarlet Woods. His research underpins much of how the game’s systems work, from the Anispace to the broader understanding of Anivis. See Anispace and Animon.
