Resources and Sponsors
August 29, 2026 at 11:42 PM
Initial version (2026-08-29)
Alongside shooting and building, Like or Die runs an economic layer. Teams secure resources across the arena and spend them to raise their combat power, while sponsors periodically inject supplies that teams have to fight over.
Resources are secured from across the arena and used to purchase more powerful weapons and items, boosting a team's combat power. The studio states that how a team spends its resources and which supplies it fights for will make or break it, which frames the economy as a genuine decision layer rather than a pickup system.
The sponsor framing fits the streaming premise: in-fiction backers send supplies to the streamers they are watching. Two delivery types are confirmed:
Supply type | Confirmed detail |
|---|---|
Airdrops | Sent by sponsors. Described as holding incredible power inside. |
Lucky Blocks | Sent by sponsors. Described the same way, as holding incredible power inside. |
Both are described together and neither has been distinguished from the other mechanically. The name Lucky Block implies a randomised reward, but the studio has not confirmed that, and it should not be assumed.
Lucky Blocks and the cube blocks produced by the Block Gun share a word but are not the same system. The Block Gun produces terrain. Lucky Blocks are sponsor supply containers. Nothing in the released material connects them, and the two should not be conflated.
